Juan Antonio Bayona shares first image from Jurassic World sequel

Much as Colin Trevorrow did during production on the first Jurassic World (2015), so the sequel's director Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible) is providing little looks at the new movie as it shoots. The first image features a mystery young new character and some less than active dinosaurs.

It might not suggest much about the film yet, but it is certainly an atmospheric shot that shows off some rather beautiful production design work that has been going on in London, where the film is shooting before the usual Hawaii location work.

Aside from Trevorrow (who produces this time around and wrote the script with Derek Connolly) hinting that the sequel will be darker and scarier than it's predecessor, not much is known about the new movie. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong are back, with James Cromwell (The Artists), Rafe Spall (Prometheus), Ted Levine (Silence Of The Lambs) and Justice Smith (Paper Towns) among the new arrivals. As for the young woman featured in the picture? Nothing has been announced as yet.

Jurassic World 2 (or whatever the title evolves into) will be out on 8 June next year.
