The third Pitch Perfect movie has been slowly recalling some of the regular cast, including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow. But there is clearly room for some new blood, with news arriving via Variety that busy actress Ruby Rose (Orange Is The New Black) will be part of the movie.
Director Trish Sie (Step Up All In) is taking over shot calling duties from Elizabeth Banks (who will return to produce and play commentator Gail), but the film's story – as written by regular scribe Kay Cannon, Mike White (School Of Rock) and Dana Fox (What Happens In Vegas) – is still shrouded in mystery. Still, it will need to find a way to bring back Beca and the rest, since they graduated at the end of the second movie.
The movie is gearing up to shoot ready for a planned December release date. 2017 will certainly be a packed year for Rose. Already on our screens in xXx: Return Of Xander Cage and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, she will next be seen in John Wick: Chapter Two, which arrives in cinemas 17 February. Plus she is part of the cast of giant shark thriller Meg, which will swim in during 2018.
