Warner Bros have recently released their latest image of Ryan Gosling in Denis Villeneuve's (Sicario) Blade Runner 2049 via Empire magazine.
"I'm having the time of my life on this, but it's insane for sure," director Denis Villeneuve admits. "Because it is so insane, it gives you freedom. A lot of people on this [film] are children of Blade Runner, raised with the imagination and energy of the original, and have been inspired by those images all our lives."
Villeneuve, fresh off the success of Arrival (2016), is now putting finishing touches to the highly anticipated sequel Blade Runner 2049, and as you can see from the new image, has brought Ryan Gosling for the new replicant hunt.
Set thirty years after the events of Blade Runner (1982), LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) unearths a long buried secret that has the potential to plunge what is left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
With Robin Wright (House Of Cards), Dave Bautista (Guardians Of The Galaxy), Mackenzie Davis (The Martian) and Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) also in the cast, and Blade Runner director Ridley Scott aboard as executive producer, Blade Runner 2049 will arrive in cinemas on 6 October.
