Justice Smith join Jurassic World 2

Aside from a few hints dropped by Colin Trevorrow and incoming director Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible), we don't yet know a lot about what will be part of the Jurassic World (2015) sequel. But we have at least now learned who will be sharing the screen with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, with news arriving via The Hollywood Reporter that Justice Smith (The Get Down) is set to join them.

After providing a charismatic core for Baz Luhrmann's costly, 1970s set and music filled Netflix series, Smith will be part of the cast alongside returning characters Owen Grady (Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Howard) as the story expands further. Could the dinosaur mayhem go beyond the island?

Trevorrow wrote the script with Derek Connolly (Jurassic World), but so far no one is saying anything solid about the story. Still, we know one element that will be addressed – the certain matter of Claire's footwear. After criticism of having Howard run around in high heels, Trevorrow posted a cheeky Twitter picture aimed at Howard showing sensible boots...

Pre-production is in full swing and shooting should happen in Hawaii and the UK this coming spring.
