Isabela Moner set to join Sicario sequel Soldado

She will next be seen dodging giant robots in Michael Bay's Transformers: Age Of Extinction (2014) follow-up Transformers: The Last Knight, but Isabela Moner (Splitting Adam) has just scored a role that will see her taking part in something likely to draw a little more critical love. News arrives via Deadline that she is set to join Sicario (2015) sequel Soldado.

Written once again by Taylor Sheridan, but directed this time by Stefano Sollima (Gamorrah), Soldado won't be a direct continuation of the story, but set in the same world with some of the characters re-occurring. This time around, Benicio Del Toro's violent gun for hire Alejandro Gillick and Josh Brolin's morally grey CIA agent Matt Grover are still hunting drug kingpins, but on another front. Moner is on board as the stubborn daughter of a drug cartel leader that is their primary target.

Moner joins a cast that already also includes new recruit Catherine Keener (Captain Philips) as a CIA superior and Jeffrey Donovan returning as DEA agent Steve Forsing. Sollima is currently rolling the cameras and the movie should be out later this year.
