Samuel L. Jackson (The Hateful Eight) and Brie Larson (Room) recently worked together on Kong: Skull Island. Now Jackson will find out what it is like to be directed by Larson, as news arrives via Vartiety that he has joined the cast of her comedy Unicorn Store.
Jackson is joining Joan Cusack (School Of Rock) and Bradley Whitford (The Cabin In The Woods) in the movie, which was written by Samantha McIntyre (Married). In addition to making her full length directorial debut (she has worked on shorts in the past), Larson will play a young woman named Kit whose life issues means she has to move back in with her parents. But then she receives a mysterious invitation to a strange sounding store that will challenge her ideas about what it means to grow up.
Larson is currently cranking the cameras in Los Angeles and the film should be out later this year. As for Kong: Skull Island, that will arrive on our screens on 10 March. Larson has also worked on The Glass Castle, which has yet to lock in a confirmed release date, but she will be back on our screens in Ben Wheatley's (High Rise) Free Fire, which is due 31 March.
