Sony Pictures have recently released their latest trailer for Morten Tyldum's (The Imitation Game) Passengers.
Despite early praise, Jon Spaihts' (Prometheus) science fiction script Passengers lingered in development limbo for several years, but is now finally heading our way as a fully fledged movie starring Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) and Chris Pratt (Guardians Of The Galaxy).
Directed by Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game), Passengers is set in the future on a gigantic interstellar ship ferrying 5,000 colonists bound for Homestead II, a journey that will take 120 years. Everyone is in cryposleep until a malfunction causes one of them (Pratt) to be rudely awakened 90 years before anyone else. Unable to fix the situation and seemingly doomed to spend his time dying alone, he decides to take the unusual and controversial step of waking up a fellow passenger (Lawrence) and slowly they begin to fall in love. But then they discover that the ship is malfunctioning further...
Passengers, which also features Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon) as the ships robot barman, Laurence Fishburne (Man Of Steel) and Aurora Perrineau (Equals), is out in cinemas now.
