Mike Epps set for Eli Roth's Death Wish

News arrives via Deadline that Mike Epps (The Hangover) is set to join Eli Roth's (Hostel) Death Wish (1974) remake.

Roth has taken over the remake of the 1974 thriller, which originally starred Charles Bronson. Bruce Willis (Looper) is set to Paul Kersey, a grieving father whose thoughts turn to violent vengeance, with Vincent D'Onofrio (Jurassic World) as his brother and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) as a cop who investigates the slayings.

Epps has stepped aboard to play Dr. Chris Salgado, a doctor and playboy who happens to be Kersey's best friend. Roth is shooting the film now in Montreal for a planned 2017 release. Once his work on Death Wish is complete, Epps will turn his attention to several other movies, including comedy The Trap, and starring as Richard Pryor in a new biopic of the legendary comedian.
