Lucy Fry set tol star with Will Smith in Bright

Will Smith and director David Ayer are set to reunite after Suicide Squad for the Max Landis (Chronicle) scripted fantasy thriller Bright. It is coming together quickly and now news arrives via The Hollywood Reporter that Lucy Fry (Vampire Academy) has joined the cast.

Landis' original concept blends fantasy mythology with cop thriller action, as Smith and Joel Edgerton (Warrior) are playing a human and an orc who must outrun the authorities, criminals and a variety of supernatural beings to protect a powerful magic wand. Now we know that Fry will be Tikka, a young elf with her own magical abilities who comes into possession of the wand and needs the leads' help when dark forces try to hunt her down.

Bright's cast also already includes Noomi Rapace (Prometheus), and filming is currently underway in Los Angeles for a Netflix release next year. Fry was mostly recently seen in two Greg McLean (Wolf Creek) projects – the Wolf Creek miniseries based on his horror movie, and his latest big screen chiller The Darkness.
