Whether playing Charlie Cox's nemesis in Daredevil or trying to take down Emily Blunt in Sicario (2015), Jon Bernthal certainly has serious form when it comes to crime. Now news arrives via The Hollywood Reporter that he has just signed on for another thriller of the criminal variety, Stingray.
The second feature film from Australian actor and director Anthony Hayes – a man who has played officers of the law in Ned Kelly (2003), Animal Kingdom (2010) and The Light Between Oceans – will see Bernthal's character caught up in a blood debt after killing the brother of a notorious criminal, meaning he will have to kill one of his own family in the next two days.
Bernthal can currently be seen in The Accountant, and will pop up in Edgar Wright's (The World's End) Baby Driver and his very own Netflix Punisher series next year. Stingray is set to start filming in April.
