Transformers: The Last Knight casts Liam Garrigan as King Arthur

No matter how much Michael Bay might relish the prospect, the Transformers movies can't all be about robots hitting each other. Underneath all the metal on metal Bayhem is the need for a human element, and Transformers: The Last Knight has, according to Mashable, added a key one in the shape of Liam Garrigan (Once Upon A Time).

While nothing has been officially confirmed about the plot, rumours have swirled that it will feature King Arthur and Merlin in some capacity. With Santiago Cabrera (Heroes) already cast as the magician, Garrigan is playing King Arthur. He has already got form on that front, having played the character in TV's Once Upon A Time.

Transformers: The Last Knight, in addition to the usual Autobots and Decepticons, features the return of Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yeager, alongside fellow Transformers veteran Josh Duhamel. New faces this time around include Anthony Hopkins (Hitchcock), Isabela Moner (Splitting Adam), Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors), Allen Phoenix (Good Deed), Laura Haddock (Da Vinci's Demons) and Gil Birmingham (Twilight).

Bay is currently shooting and the movie will arrive on 23 June next year.
