Stanley Tucci returning for Transformers: The Last Knight

News arrives via Variety that Stanley Tucci is set to return to as ambitious scientist Joshua Joyce for Michael Bay's Transformers: Age Of Extinction (2014) follow-up Transformers: The Last Knight.

Bay has recently been spotted filming scenes in London for the new movie, which has also shot in Cuba, Arizona, Scotland and Michigan, with Chicago location work still to be completed. Not much is known about the story for this one, save the usual conflict between Optimus Prime's Autobots and Megatron's scheming Decepticons, but the story will apparently intersect with that of King Arthur, given Liam Garrigan's (Once Upon A Time) recent casting as the legendary warrior king.

As for Joyce, it is not yet clear how h will fit in, though he ended Transformers: Age Of Extinction on the side of right, helping Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yeager and friends, so expect him to remain an ally in Transformers: The Last Knight. At least unless a better offer happens along...

Tucci joins a cast that also includes fellow Transformer veterans Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson, alongside new faces Anthony Hopkins (Hitchcock), Isabela Moner (Splitting Adam), Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors) and Laura Haddock (Da Vinci's Demons). Transformers: The Last Knight will storm on to our screens on 23 June next year.
