After a long time in development limbo, drama The Only Living Boy In New York has been gaining some momentum in recent years thanks to director Marc Webb (500 Days Of Summer). Now the film has added someone new to its cast, with word arriving via The Hollywood Reporter that Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) is aboard.
Written by Allan Loeb (21), the movie finds Callum Turner as a recent college graduate who discovers that his father (Jeff Bridges) has been having an affair. But instead of shunning the woman in question (Beckinsale), he starts his own relationship with her. Which, we imagine, would make for the most awkward family reunion in history.
Kiersey Clemons (Dope) is also aboard, and Webb will start the cameras rolling this month with the backing of Amazon Studios. Beckinsale was last seen in Love & Friendship and will next be back in Selene's black bodysuit for the next instalment of the vampire action franchise, Underworld: Blood Wars, out here on 3 February.
