Netflix have recently released their first trailer for Richie Smyth's directorial debut Siege Of Jadotville.
If Anthropoid didn't sate your desire to watch Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades Of Grey) in a real life story of war and heroism, The Siege Of Jadotville is looking to help with that.
Once simply known as Jadotville, the film is set in 1961 and follows the real life events around the siege of an Irish UN battalion by 3,000 Congolese troops under the command of French and Belgian mercenaries paid by big mining companies. Dornan is the Irish commander, Patrick Quinlan, who has to argue with Mark Strong's (Kingsman: The Secret Service) authority figure to keep up the fight. Guillaume Canet (Love Me If You Dare) is in charge of the French contingent, while Jason O'Mara (Resident Evil: Extinction) is Company Sergeant Jack 'Sarge' Prendergast, Quinlan's right hand man.
Siege Of Jadotville is available on Netflix now.
