Comic Con Thor video officially arrives online

First shown at this year's San Diego Comic Con, Marvel have recently released the fun short film that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows) whipped up which looks to explain what the Thunder God was doing while the majority of the Avengers were clashing in Captain America: Civil War.

Titled Team Thor, the mockumentary finds Chris Hemsworth on fine comic form as the normally fairly sensible warrior kicks back in Australia with roommate Daryl and generally makes a nuisance of himself. There are weird moments with Mjolnir (woe is the man who tries to move the hammer to vacuum the floor) and a sidelong look at Thor's investigation into the Infinity Stones.

It is all shot in a similar way to Waititi's What We Do In The Shadows (2014) and is littered with fun knowing references. Hopefully it is an indication to the lighter touch that the director will deliver with Thor: Ragnarok, in between the huge action and big drama, of course. We will see the tone when the movie itself arrives on 27 October next year. Captain America: Civil War, meanwhile, is available on digital download, DVD and Blu-ray now.
