Anne Hathaway is certainly no stranger when it comes to novel adaptations, with films such as The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Love & Other Drugs (2010) and One Day (2011) on the list. Now news arrives via Deadline that she had signed on to star in another, Jenny Mollen's Live Fast Die Hot.
Warner Bros bought the rights to Mollen's collection of witty essays about life, which hit bookshelves back in June. They track how her priorities changed from being a hard partying social media maven with low impulse control who once invited her drug dealer to Passover, to someone ready to tackle the challenges of motherhood. Whoever ends up writing the script will be distilling Mollen's experiences into a narrative.
Gail Berman (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is attached to produce the movie alongside Hathaway, but this one is still at an embryonic stage and doesn't have a director circling as yet.
Hathaway was last seen reprising her role as Mirana in Alice Through The Looking Glass and is the star of unusual monster movie Colossal, which will premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last month. She has also recently joined the cast of Ocean's Eleven spin-off Ocean's Eight, which should be shooting in a couple of months.
