New featurette for Sully arrives online

Roadshow Films have recently released a new featurette for Clint Eastwood's (American Sniper) Sully: Miracle On The Hudson.

Sully will chronicle the story of Captain Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger (Tom Hanks), the man hailed as a hero when he safely landed a bird-struck, malfunctioning plane full of passengers on New York's Hudson River back in 2009, becoming a symbol for old school tenacity and professionalism in the face of adversity. His moment of fame led to a memoir, called Highest Duty: My Search For What Really Matters, and saw both the book and his life rights bought by Frank Marshall (War Horse), with Sully himself also on board as a producer.

Eastwood called the shots based from Todd Komarnicki's (Perfect Stranger) script, and the film features Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) as co-pilot Jeff Skiles who helped land the plane, Laura Linney (Mystic River) as Lorraine Sullenberger and Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad) as Doctor Elizabeth Davis, who presumably took a look at the pilot after the crash, especially as the investigation threatened to damage his reputation.

Sully: Miracle On The Hudson will land in UK cinemas on 2 December.
