Steven Soderbergh's (Ocean's Eleven) unorthodox heist caper movie Logan Lucky is already bursting at the seams with talent and now he is filling in other roles with reliable character actors. Word arrives via The Hollywood Reporter that David Denman (After Earth) is joining the list.
Despite his big "retirement" announcement a few years ago, Lucky Logan represents Soderbergh's full return to big screen work with the story of a group of friends and family who plan a heist that will use a big, noisy NASCAR race as cover. Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street), Hilary Swank (Million Dollar baby), Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Seth MacFarlane (A Million Ways To Die In The West) and Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road) are all on board this one, working from a script by Rebecca Blunt.
Denman is set to play Moody, a seemingly honest businessman who owns a chain of car dealerships and is married to Tatum's former flame. The actor was last seen in Michael Bay's 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi and is playing Sam Scott, father of Dacre Montgomery's Jason Lee Scott in the new Power Rangers film.
