20th Century Fox have recently released a new batch of character one sheets for Mike Thurmeier (Ice Age: Continental Drift) and Galen T. Chu's Ice Age: Collision Course.
This time around, the acorn addicted little critter Scrat finds himself in real trouble when, in his pursuit of somewhere to hide his latest bounty, he stumbles upon an alien spaceship frozen in a glacier. Managing to somehow activate the ship and go roaring into space, he ends up changing the course of an asteroid and sends it hurtling towards the planet below.
Which is where we will pick up the main story, as Ray Romano's Manny, John Leguizamo's Sid and Denis Leary's Diego spot shooting stars that are actually meteors heading for the planet's surface. And that astronomical event will have a big impact on the characters, who have to save themselves and embark on a quest taking in new lands and fresh characters.
There is a typically big returning roll call of voices from the previous four instalments including Romano, Leary, Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, and Jennifer Lopez, and new arrivals Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Adam DeVine (Pitch Perfect), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Max Greenfield (New Girl), singer Jessie J, Nick Offerman (Parks And Recreation), Melissa Rauch (The Big Bang Theory), Michael Strahan (Magic Mike XXL) and Neil deGrasse Tyson (StarTalk).
Ice Age: Collision Course is out in UK cinemas now.
