"We are gonna start a brownie empire."

Universal Pictures have recently released their latest one sheet and red band trailer for Ben Falcone's (Tammy) The Boss.

Originally titled Michelle Darnell, Melissa McCarthy's (Bridesmaids) latest comedy has recently been rebranded The Boss, and now we have our first trailer for the prickly self-help guru.

The monstrous Michelle is a character that McCarthy originally created as a member of the Groundlings sketch comedy troupe a decade ago in Los Angeles. For the film, she has been made the centre of a story in which the wealthiest woman in America is sent to the slammer for dodgy dealing and insider trading. Freshly released, she starts trying to earn her way back to her former glory, but finds that it's not so easy when you've stepped on everyone on your way up.

Among those holding karmic grudges include Peter Dinklage (Game Of Thrones), Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Kathy Bates (About Schmidt) and Timothy Simons (Veep).

McCarthy's husband Ben Falcone is the director and the pair co-wrote the screenplay with Steve Mallory (Identity Thief) and are the producers through their own On The Day banner. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay (Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy) are also involved through their Gary Sanchez production company.

The Boss is out in the UK on 10 June.
