New trailer and quad poster for Midnight Special arrives online

Entertainment One have recently released their latest trailer and quad poster for Jeff Nichols' (Mud) Midnight Special.

Having worked together successfully on movies such as Shotgun Stories (2007), Take Shelter (2011) and Mud (2012), writer/director Jeff Nichols and actor Michael Shannon are reuniting once again for Nichols' latest.

Midnight Special finds Shannon as Roy, who discovers that this son Alton (Jaeden Lieberher) has some special gifts – powers, that make him both a boon to humanity and, in the eyes of some, a terrible threat.

Partly that worry comes from government agents (led by Adam Driver) and an extreme religious sect overseen by Sam Shepard's (The Right Stuff) driven leader, who both decide that Alton belongs with them. The government views Alton as a potential weapon, whereas the religious types think he is their saviour... Roy knows he has to go on the run alongside Kirsten Dunst (Melancholia) and Joel Edgerton (Warrior), who provides a little protection as they race for a secret location.

Midnight Special will arrive in our cinemas on 8 April.
