Opting for a TV spot that links to a proper online trailer, Favreau and his team have rolled out a full length effort that once again shows off some of the beautiful effects work and voice talent on display for this reboot of both Rudyard Kipling's story and Disney's own animated classic.
It is not exactly peaceful even here, though, as young Mowgli (Neel Sethi) will struggle to survive in the tough jungle world. There are constant threats from the threatening tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) and the cunning snake Kaa (Scarlett Johansson), not to mention his own choice between human destiny and staying with his animal friends. But those jungle critters he does trust will be there to help him, including wise panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and lovable bear Baloo (Bill Murray).
With a script by Justin Marks, Favreau's film also features Christopher Walken (Seven Psychopaths) as the voice of King Louie, ruler of the jungle's monkeys and apes, Giancarlo Esposito (Alex Cross) is Akela, leader of the wolf pack that initially cares for Mowgli, and Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years A Slave) as wolf mother Rackcha.
The Jungle Book will open in the UK on 15 April.
