Every once in a while, a film will just disappear for no apparent reason. Such was the case with Dylan Kidd's Get A Job, which shot four years ago but somehow ended up falling into distribution limbo. Now the first and much belated trailer has emerged blinking into the light.
The plot takes in a group of recent college graduates who have been thrown back out into the real world only to find that adulthood doesn't quite match up with their expectations. Miles Teller (Whiplash) is Will Davies, who finally finds his real calling after slogging through an entry level job. He is dating Anna Kendrick's (Pitch Perfect) Jillian, a type-A personality who lives according to a strict plan. His dad Roger (Bryan Cranston) is stuck hunting for a new job at the same time as his son is having his employment epiphany.
Alison Brie (Community), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad), Marcia Gay Harden (Into The Wild), John Cho (Start Trek), John C. McGinley (Scrubs), Nicholas Braun (The Perks Of Being A Wallflower), Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder), Marc Maron (Almost Famous) and Jay Pharoah (Ride Along) are all part of the film's pitch hitting supporting cast. And while we still don't have a release date in the UK, Get A Job will at last find employment in the US on 25 March.
