New Deadpool stills arrive online

20th Century Fox have recently released a fresh batch of stills from Tim Miller's debut feature Deadpool via Empire magazine.

With his mouth no longer wired shut, Deadpool is set to make serious ultra violent f-bomb filled waves when he hits our screens next month.

"This film certainly works within the context of the X-Men universe," Ryan Reynolds (Buried) told Empire, "but it doesn't necessarily include the sensibilities of an X-Men movie. It's like taking an X-Men character, pumping him full of LSD and then releasing him back into the fold."

Talking of X-Men, those who have seen the recent trailers will be well aware of a certain X-Man's presence. No longer played by Daniel Cudmore, Stefan Kapicic fills Colossus' giant shoes and can be seen alongside Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) in the new still above.

She may be wearing a black ensemble, but Hildebrand does sport the odd bit of colour as Deadpool's surly companion – and yes, that is indeed a New Mutants uniform below.

Also onboard is Gina Carano (Fast & Furious 6) as adrenaline fuelled super mutant, Angel Dust. She may not have a lot to say in the trailers, but we have seen her fists do the talking and it certainly takes a brave mutant to consider going up against Colossus.

Effects man/second unit director Tim Miller is calling the shots for this one, working from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland). Deadpool, as some of you may already know, features former Special Forces warrior turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Reynolds), who undergoes a rogue experiment as part of the Weapon X plan that leaves him brutally scarred but also boasting Wolverine like healing powers. Armed with his new abilities and his pitch-dark sense of humour, he hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life, while taking on other bad guys as he does so.

With Ed Skrein (Ill Manors), T.J. Miller (Transformers: Age Of Extinction) and Morena Baccarin (Homeland) among the cast, Deadpool will wisecrack his way into UK cinemas on 10 February.
