Adapted by Dana Fox (What Happens In Vegas), Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein (The Vow) from Liz Tuccillo's novel, How To Be Single finds Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades Of Grey) as Alice, who is trying to get over a recent breakup. While she would probably rather just go home and be by herself, her best friend Robin (Rebel Wilson) encourages her to come on a girls' night out, and find someone right – or at least someone right now.
What follows is a chaotic example of modern dating attitudes, arguing that in a world where smartphone apps and online hookups dominate, there is still room for more traditional ways of finding someone, even in a big city like New York.
The film also features a solidly comedic supporting cast, including Alison Brie (Community), Leslie Mann (Knocked Up), Anders Holm (Workaholics), Jake Lacy (Obvious Child), Damon Wayans Jr. (The Other guys) and Nicholas Braun (The Perks Of Being A Wallflower).
How To Be Single will be out in the UK on 19 February next year.
