Kelly Rohrbach set for C.J. Parker role in new Baywatch

With every piece of new casting on the Baywatch film that already includes San Andreas (2015) co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Alexandra Daddario alongside Zac Efron (That Awkward Moment), it is becoming clear that the movie will feature characters from the original TV show. Johnson has announced recently that model and actress Kelly Rohrbach (The PET Squad Files) is set to play C.J. Parker, the role originally played by Pamela Anderson.

Johnson used his huge social media following to introduce the new C.J. to the world via a series of silly Instagram videos, including this one about the art of running in slow motion, a Baywatch TV staple.

Followed by this one, which sees Johnson testing whether Rohrbach is tough enough to join the team.

The film, which has Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) directing, finds Johnson inheriting the role of lifeguard Mitch Glazer from David Hasselhoff, with Daddario as Summer Quinn, originally played by Nicole Eggert in the series and Efron as an unspecified hotheaded young guard who must help his colleagues take on an oil tycoon's plans that include beach threatening environmental chaos.

In addition to her modelling career, Rohrbach has been seen on screen in shows such as The PET Squad Files, Deadbeat, Rizzoli & Isles and Two And A Half Men. She also has a role in Woody Allen's (Midnight In Paris) latest currently untitled film alongside Kristen Stewart (The Runaways) and Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network).
