Josh Hutchinson set for Backstabbing For Beginners

The American Film Market earlier this month saw a whole host of potential films jostling for attention and looking for buyers. It certainly helps to have names attached, with news arriving via The Hollywood Reporter that Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) and Ben Kingsley (Hugo) have joined Backstabbing For Beginners.

Per Fly (The Inheritance) is directing the thriller, working from a script he wrote with Daniel Pyne (Fracture). Backstabbing For Beginners casts Hutcherson as Michael, an idealistic young sort who scores a dream job working for the United Nations' Oil for Food programme and delves into the chaotic market of post-Iraq war crude. Discovering that there is a conspiracy in the trading program that reaches the highest levels, he reaches out to his boss and mentor Pasha (Ben Kingsley) for help, but learns that he might just have put them both at risk.

Fly is aiming to start shooting the film in January and it will likely be out sometime in 2016. Hutcherson is part of the veteran cast for the final Hunger Games film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part which is out now. Kingsley, meanwhile, can currently be seen in The Walk and will be lending his voice to Bagheera in Jon Favreau's (Cowboys & Aliens) take on The Jungle Book, which arrvives on 15 April next year.
