The plot, however, remains the same, with Christina Hodson and David Leslie Johnson's (Wrath Of The Titans) script finding Dawson's character as a woman who is struggling to start a new life with her husband and his daughter. The biggest fly in the ointment of her happiness is her husbands manipulative and potentially unstable ex-wife, played by Heigl. Cue a fight for the family and – we're just guessing here – there will be blood.
Di Novi, who has been on board as a producer since the start, is now set to make her directorial debut with the film, so we're wondering what happened behind the scenes to mandate this change. The cameras are currently rolling in Los Angeles with no release date as yet.
Dawson was most recently seen as Claire Temple on Daredevil and starred in Chris Rock's (I Think I Love My Wife) Top Five. She will be lending her vocal talents to animated features Henchmen and Ratchet And Clank, and will be returning as Claire Temple in Marvel's Jessica Jones series, arriving on Netflix later this year. Heigl last worked on comedy drama Jenny's Wedding and TV series State Of Affairs.
