New Bond women of SPECTRE featurette arrives online

MGM/Columbia Pictures have recently released a new featurette that sheds some light on the various roles the mysterious Bond women will play in Sam Mendes' (Skyfall) latest Bond outing SPECTRE.

Alongside this latest featurette comes news that Léa Seydoux's (Blue Is The Warmest Colour) Madeleine Swann is the daughter of Mr. White (Jesper Christensen). Which certainly puts the "kite dancing in a hurricane" quote featured in the teaser trailer into an intriguing new context.

We also learn that Monica Bellucci's (Irreversible) Lucia is "an Italian widow with secrets". Director Sam Mendes, as glowing as you would expect of his lead actresses, says: "The two women who Bond hooks up with, both have great mystery, they both have depths and for that you need fantastic actresses."

All we know about SPECTRE so far is that a cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M (Ralph Fiennes) battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
Directed once again by Mendes, SPECTRE stars Daniel Craig as Bond, of course, alongside Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) as the enigmatic Oberhauser, Andrew Scott (Sherlock) as Denbigh, Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx and Stephanie Sigman (Miss Bala), plus returning MI6 allies Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q and Rory Kinnear as Tanner.

SPECTRE hits our screens on 26 October before heading to the US on 6 November.
