Baby Driver will chronicle the high speed, musically influenced life of a young getaway driver (Elgort), who grooves to his personal soundtrack on jobs to keep him at the top of his game. But when he is coerced into working for a crime boss on a doomed heist, his entire world is put into danger.
James, who has seen her star rise faster thanks to the success of Downton Abbey and Walt Disney Pictures' latest live action fairy tale, is on board to play a still unknown other key role in the movie.
Wright has had this one in development for several years now, but put it aside to focus on directing Ant-Man for Marvel. When that eventually fell through, Baby Driver swiftly became his next project. James will next be seen in culinary comedy Adam James alongside Bradley Cooper (which arrives 2 October) and as Elizabeth Bennett in Burr Steers' (Charlie St. Cloud) Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, arriving here on 19 February next year.
