New trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrives online

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies have just released their latest trailer for Jonathan Liebesman's (Wrath Of The Titans) cinematic take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The Turtles, brought to life this time via performance capture (as will their rat mentor, Splinter), will go through the motions of their origin story once again, albeit with some tweaks to the familiar story. Exactly what those are have yet to be disclosed, but we do know that their background is tied more closely to the scheming businessman played by William Fichtner (The Lone Ranger), who takes on the guise of Turtle nemesis Shredder. Also involved is plucky reporter April O'Neil (Megan Fox) who becomes a staunch ally of our pizza loving heroes in a half-shell, despite early reservations based on their looks. If the recent promotional material is anything to go by, she might not be the only one...

With Michael Bay (Transformers) as Executive Producer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also features Johnny Knoxville (The Last Stand), Tony Shalhoub (Pain & Gain), Abby Elliot (No Strings Attached), K. Todd Freeman (The Dark Knight), Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Pete Ploszek (Shameless), Jeremy Howard (Accepted), Noel Fisher (Battles Los Angeles), Will Arnett (Jonah Hex) and Whoopi Goldberg (Sister Act).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrives here on 17 October.
