Sandrine Holt added to Terminator: Genesis

The actual specifics of how the chronology twisting Terminator: Genesis plot will work may still be locked in a vault guarded by two cyborg exoskeletons, but details on casting are now arriving thick and fast. The latest names added to the list include Sandrine Holt (House Of Cards), Byung-hun Lee (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) and Michael Gladis (Mad Men).

These latest additions join Emilia Clarke (Sarah Connor), Jason Clarke (John Connor), Jai Courtney (Kyle Reese), Dayo Okeniyi (Danny Dyson, son of Miles Dy), J.K. Simmons (a detective investigating the robot mayhem) and of course Arnold Schwarzenegger (the T-800).

Written by Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) and Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island), director Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) is ready to start cameras rolling any day soon.

As for these newcomers to the cast, The Hollywood Reporter wasn't able to find out their roles, but Deadline reports that Sandrine Holt will play Detective Cheung, who arrests Sarah and Kyle when they show up in 2017.

Terminator: Genesis is set to arrive in our cinemas on 26 June next year.
