As you'll have gathered from the trailer below, Night Moves is an ecological thriller of sorts, but with an emphasis on slow-burning suspense rather than high-octane pyrotechnics.
The plot here involves Eisenberg, Fanning and Sarsgaard's meticulous preparations to bomb a hydro-electric dam, but there are interpersonal problems among the trio, and their plan soon takes an unexpected turn.
The film already has strong advance word from the festival circuit, with Empire's Damon Wise calling it "an alt-thriller that ripples with tension, paranoia and atmosphere".
The polymath Reichardt also wrote and edited the film, in addition to her duties behind the camera. Night Moves had its UK premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival last month, and gets its full release here on 29 August.
