"It is undoubtedly a trap..."

By now most of you have undoubtedly seen the latest trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug. If not, you can find it here. But if you’re in the mood for more bite sized chunks of trailer footage with additional nuggets of dwarven gold, you’ll be glad to know there are two new TV spots online offering just that.

Following on from where we left Bilbo, the dwarves and Gandalf, as they continue their journey to the Lonely Mountain, where Thorin (Richard Armitage) and the rest seek to reclaim their homeland from the troublesome squatter, Smaug the dragon (Benedict Cumberbatch).

The fun here is encountering new and old friends – such as Evangeline Lilly (Real Steel) as warrior elf Tauriel, Lee Pace's (Lincoln) Elvenking Thranduil and Orlando Bloom returning as the ever athletic Legolas.

With the likes of Aidan Turner, Billy Connolly, Graham McTavish, Dean O’Gorman, Luke Evans, Mikael Persbrandt, Conan Stevens and Stephen Fry rounding out the cast, The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug is out on 13 December.
